How to add oil to the air conditioning compressor

What equipment do DJs use?

It's usually not that difficult, and there are actually about 4 basic steps you need to take.

Here's a summary of the steps:

  • Remove the air conditioning compressor.

  • Drain the old oil.

  • Add new oil.

  • Install the compressor.

Preliminary Step 0: Buy the oil recommended by your manufacturer (if you add the wrong type of oil to your A/C compressor, it may damage it). Experienced washing mashine enthusiasts recommend purchasing an AIR CONDITIONING COMPRESSOR from an online auto parts store. Good service, wide selection of original and duplicate parts.

Step 1: Locate the compressor and remove the protective cover.

Unscrew the bolts securing the air conditioning compressor protective casing and remove it (using a socket wrench).

Step 2: Remove the belt

Loosen and remove the belt (it is clearly visible) from the air conditioning compressor.

You will need to loosen the nut you see on the outside of the pulley to get the belt to move.

Step 3: Disconnect the wire connector from the compressor.

Next, you need to disconnect the plastic wire connecting the compressor to the power source (just grab it and remove it from the compressor).

Step 4: Remove the high (thin) and low (larger) pressure lines.

To do this, first unscrew the bolts connecting the two pressure lines to the air conditioning compressor.

You then separate each valve from the compressor valve.

Now, before you begin the steps of adding oil to your air compressor, you must catch the freon.

You know the risk if you don’t: it can escape into the environment and cause harm.

More importantly, it can put you in the crosshairs of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

  • Reclaimer Machine

Procedure

Step 1: Connect your reclaimer machine’s gauges

When connecting, start with the low side (large tube) and then the high side (smaller line).

Step 2: Bleed the air from the hoses

Air trapped in the hoses can cause problems down the road, and you need to get rid of it.

Step 3: Connect to the Inlet and Outlet

Now connect the yellow hose to the inlet port of your reclaimer machine and the extra yellow hose to the outlet port.

Step 4: Bleed the air from the machine

To bleed the air from the machine, bleed the gas from the low side again for 1 second. Step 5: Connect to the recovery tank

Now connect the remaining end of the yellow hose to the recovery cylinder (to the liquid port).

Step 6: Open the gauges (bottom side)

Next, you want to open the bottom of the gauges.

Also (before this, make sure both ports on the recovery machine are open) open the valve on the recovery tank.
