Mustard
Regular mustard will help get rid of stains on dark or colored outerwear.Mix mustard powder with water to the consistency of thick sour cream, spread over the blot for 40 minutes. After the time has passed, wash the down jacket in a washing machine with powder.
Shaving foam
Shaving foam is the ideal method for cleaning fresh stains. It is enough to apply the foam to the desired area for 5 minutes, then wash the product as usual.
This at-home cleaning method is only suitable for material that can be soaked. Not all down jackets can be exposed to liquids.
Laundry soap
A greasy down jacket can be cleaned using simple manipulations with laundry soap:
- place the jacket horizontally;
- grate the soap on a fine grater until a powder forms;
