Spare parts for Samsung washing machines: analogues or original

Samsung washing machine parts: analogs or original
CONTENT

Each of us who has at least once had to repair our washing machine knows that you can install an original spare part or a good copy.

This card is often played by unscrupulous masters. They offer to install the original for a lot of money, and if the client refuses, they begin to offer a high-quality copy at 50% cheaper.

We decided to contact the Samsung service center for detailed comments, and this is what we found out:

  • what is the difference between original spare parts and copies?
  • what is their average price difference;
  • what warranty applies to copies;
  • Which copies are best avoided, and which ones, on the contrary, can be safely installed.

What is the difference between replicas and original parts?

Nothing really. The main difference is that replicas may be suitable for different manufacturers of household appliances. Let's look at the example of a drain pump for a washing machine.

Original pump DC31-00181A:

  • Suitable for 18 models of Samsung washing machines WF and WW series.
  • The average cost in Moscow is 1,700 rubles.
  • Manufacturer's warranty – 1 year.

Time-tested copy of Askoll 40W with screws:

  • Suitable for more than 3000 models, brands such as Electrolux, Bosch, Zanussi, LG, Whirlpool, Candy, AEG, Indesit and of course Samsung.
  • The average cost in Moscow is 500 rubles.
  • Manufacturer's warranty (Italy, Merloni) – 2 years.

We decided to check this information and called about 20 different independent workshops, and this is what we got (they asked how much it would cost to replace the pump on a Samsung WW60J5213HW washing machine):

  • if you install a Samsung pump, then the average turnkey price is from 3200 to 4900 rubles;
  • if you install an Askolov pump, the average turnkey price is from 2000 to 3500 rubles.

There are definitely benefits, but what about the quality?

Quality of copies compared to the original

According to Sergei, sometimes clients themselves ask for cheaper repairs. True, the price most often does not live up to expectations. There was such an example recently.

  • The client called the technician because his machine was producing an HC2 error. After diagnostics, it became clear that the heating element needed to be replaced.
  • The master had with him an original heating element DC47-00033A for 1900 Watts. The cost of the repair was announced to the client - 1600 rubles for spare parts + 1400 rubles for installation work. Total – 3000 rubles.
  • Then the client asked whether it was possible to supply an analogue, and received an affirmative answer with a recalculation of the cost - 500 rubles for the heating element and 1,400 rubles for the work. Saving 1100 rubles (30%).
  • As a result, the client decided to leave his choice on the original spare part, since the difference was not worth the risk.

However, very often arrogant craftsmen initially inflate the price for repairs, citing figures of 10,000 or 12,000 rubles, so that a person agrees to an amount that is several times cheaper when installing an analogue.

So - the quality of the analogue and the original is practically no different, since when replacing any components, the electronic board reads the performance characteristics (technical characteristics) and in case of discrepancy, it simply does not start.

Are there copies that are best avoided?

Yes, service specialists have their own black list of such manufacturers. Below is a list of brands that are generally not recommended for installation in Samsung household appliances, even though they are compatible:

  • Ansa – shock absorbers;
  • WFK – oil seals, bearings;
  • Kawai – heating elements, thermostats;
  • AKS - shock absorbers.

Otherwise, you can safely buy spare parts in any store, the main thing is that they have the same product and serial number with the model of household appliances.
