The washing machine does not rinse - reasons

All automatic laundry washing machines have a similar design, but any manufacturer tries to make certain changes, which is why random malfunctions can manifest themselves in different ways. If many components fail, a situation arises when the washing machine does not rinse the laundry, stops, or continues to wash continuously. No spinning or draining water

If there is no normal rinsing of laundry, the reasons can be sought in certain failures:

• The sensor that monitors the water level in the unit is faulty. It is based on its readings that the control unit issues commands to the other components of the machine so that they carry out their tasks. The inlet valve begins to draw water to the required volume and closes in a timely manner. After this, the heating element begins to bring the water to the set temperature. The engine performs a slow reverse, gradually moving to the speed required to spin the laundry. If the water control sensor fails, it begins to send erroneous signals to the control unit or does not operate at all. Because of this, failures occur in the programs specified on the machine:

1. the machine is capable of washing, but does not rinse or spin;
2. SMA collects water and immediately drains it into the sewer;
3. After rinsing, the unit does not drain or spin;
4. after washing, rinsing is performed, but without spinning the laundry;
5. the drain filter, pipe or pump is clogged.

• Each machine has a filter element, the main task of which is to hold small objects that can damage the pump. Once the filter is full, the drain pump will not be able to pump out water. As a result, the program assigned to the machine does not switch to rinsing, or is not able to replace the specified process with spinning.
• A blockage can also form in the pipe, but this will require larger items - baby underwear, socks, etc.
• Quite often, the pump impeller gets caught in hair and threads, or it is simply jammed using a regular ear cleaning stick. In this case, the pump will not work to drain the water.

The machine drains the water and spins the laundry

What should I do if the machine runs constantly without starting to rinse the laundry, while the loading hatch remains cold? Probably, The water heating element has failed.

This symptom occurs due to the fact that the required signal is not received from the temperature control sensor to the command block. If the machine has a display, the timer will stop at a certain reading. The spin and water drainage modes continue to operate normally; on units equipped with a command screen, the washing mode will be displayed.

The heating element may become unusable in several cases:

1. you have been using the washing machine for a long time. If you often use high temperature conditions, the element quickly loses its specified resource;
2. a lot of scale has accumulated. The deposited layer prevents heat transfer, causing the water heater to overheat. To avoid such a situation, it is recommended to regularly carry out preventive measures to remove contaminants;
3. The pressure switch gives incorrect readings. A failed sensor is capable of sending a signal to turn on the water heating element when there is no water in the machine’s tank;
4. the machine is not connected to the sewer network correctly;
5. The control module has failed. The washing cycle may continue, but the signal to switch to rinse will not go through.

Why is SMA bad at rinsing clothes?

When your washing machine finally stops rinsing things, or performs this procedure poorly, there may be several reasons for this - from simple to complex. Let's consider situations when the reason is not hidden in the failure of the washing machine:

• there is a lot of laundry loaded. If you send a lot of things to the wash, then there is no room left for the detergent, it dissolves poorly, interacts poorly with water and remains in the folds of the laundry;
• excess amount of washing powder. White streaks are sometimes visible on linen. This means that the volume of detergent exceeds the amount of liquid required for the machine to rinse. To eliminate this problem, you should activate the rinse mode again;
• weak water pressure. The reasons may be hidden in the plumbing system itself or in the water intake hose. You will not be able to influence the first situation, and you will only have to wait until the water pressure stabilizes. In the second case, it is necessary to remove the filler hose and thoroughly clean the blockage that has formed inside.In addition, it is recommended to check the inlet pipe and filter, and your machine will reactivate the rinse mode.

Features of malfunctions in different washing machines

Note that machines from different companies differ in their behavior when not rinsing:

• Indesit, having stopped rinsing and wringing, continues to work as usual. The motor continues to rotate the drum, reversibility is maintained. The operating cycle lasts a long time; after washing, the machine does not rinse the laundry, and the clothes remain soapy. In addition, dirty water is not completely pumped out of the tank;
• for a Bosch machine in this case (no spinning and draining of water) the reason is pump malfunction or a blockage in the drain system. Having completed the working cycle, the machine will stop, but the loading door will not unlock. To remove the laundry, you should disconnect the machine from the electrical outlet and wait a few minutes;

• Some models of washing mashines in which the pump breaks or the drain is clogged simply stop, sending the corresponding error code to the screen.
